Theodore Roosevelt once said: "In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing." As we begin 2019 it’s we have the opportunity to change the patterns of the past, and create something new in our lives. Set a big, exciting goal and go for it!

Your goal may be to change careers, overcome a health issue, take a trip, or find can be anything. By creating specific, time-bound goals and taking daily action steps toward their achievement, you will see your vision begin to take form. Take some time right now to think about where you would like to be at this time next year and create a goal by asking yourself the following questions and then writing out your answers.

What is your overall intention?

How can you quantify this intention (how much, size, shape, type, etc.)?

What is your deadline for completing this?

Now combine these into a clear written goal.

Once you have a specific goal written out, a great way to get started is to do 3 things

each day that move you toward your goal. These do not have to be huge, just 3 things to keep the momentum moving in the right direction. Often, people start out inspired by great ideas, but when faced with uncertainty about how to begin, they are tempted to procrastinate, overthink, or wait for “better timing.” Some of the most successful people in the world lacked formal education, financial backing, and “perfect” timing. They achieved their goals because they relentlessly took action until they achieved their vision. Even very small consistent effort will allow you to tap into the energy that creates results.
