The Power of Visualization
Visualization is a powerful tool. I challenge you to find any high achiever or truly accomplished person (past or present) who has not advocated visualization in order to achieve high levels of success. Spend at least 20 minutes of your morning routine meditating on your own success. Get a clear picture of your goal in your mind, and then imagine yourself having already achieved it. See yourself in your new life as if it’s already happening.
A great tool for your visualization time each morning is a vision board. This is simply a poster board, pretty frame, or canvas where you place inspiring words and pictures of the things you wish to achieve. Once you have created a vision board, you can simply take time each morning to look at it and contemplate each item you have placed there. The visual component makes it very powerful and helps to solidify your goals in the subconscious.
Next, craft an affirmation you can repeat it to yourself each morning. Over time, you may wish to add additional affirmations or change to a new one as old desires are fulfilled or no longer serve you. It should be in the in the present tense,
“I am so happy and grateful now that I am enjoying my strong, pain free body”, or “I am enjoying the peace and freedom I feel now that I have paid off all of my credit card debt,” or “I am feeling joyful and fulfilled in my loving new romantic relationship.”
When we write, our brains internalize information in a whole different way than when we just “think a thought”. Conclude your visualization time by jotting down the following things in in your workbook:
Something you are grateful for:
This can be anything from the fact that you can see to read this book, to your new baby or car , to a friend you can count on.
A goal for the day:
This can be as big or small as you would like to make. Just set an intention to accomplish something today. You can start that book you’ve been meaning to write, research a new job, or just clean out the junk drawer in the kitchen.
Your affirmation is for you alone. This is something you wish to bring into your life, a stronger body, a new job, closer relationships, or a new home. Just make sure you state it in the present tense and allow yourself to feel as though it is already in your life for few moments.
If you practice visualization daily, you will be amazed at the way your life begins to shift. Call me to discuss how I can help you get on track with your morning routine and start manifesting your ideal life today.
